Most Frequent Requests

Hypertension

Hypertension is a chronic problem that affects millions of people worldwide. Most people in the United States who have hypertension are unaware that they have this illness until it results in a major problem that prompts them to seek help.

This is why hypertension is often referred to as a ‘silent killer’, as sufferers may not know that they have this problem, and many organs are damaged without the sufferer knowing about it for months or years. In most cases, the person suffering from this condition now has a more serious, irreversible chronic illness.

Hypertension refers to high blood pressure, which is the pressure exerted by circulating blood on the blood vessels, including the heart. If this problem is not addressed in a timely manner, it can lead to serious problems such as heart attack,  stroke, kidney disease, including kidney failure…..read more

Diabetes

Diabetes is another chronic condition related to the body’s inability to use blood glucose(sugar) properly.

In most cases, sufferers don’t even know that they have diabetes until it is too late or diagnosed.

Diabetes can be serious and even lethal in some cases. Do you know that diabetes can easily result in leg, arm, or foot amputations if not treated in a timely manner?

Why wait until you get into trouble? It becomes more difficult and expensive to combat chronic diseases if ignored and left untreated over a longer time.

Proper monitoring of blood sugar by everyone, at least once every six to twelve months for the young and more frequently for older adults, helps to detect any potential development of diabetes. Learn more about diabetes here…

Edema/Congestive Heart Failure

Congestive heart failure can lead to edema, which is the collection of too much fluid in the body’s compartments where they don’t belong.

Edema is very common in individuals with chronic heart disease, kidney disease, or those with vascular disease.

Having edema can lead to more serious health issues, such as respiratory insufficiency or pneumonia.

Some people have a lot of fluid accumulation in the abdominal (‘stomach’) area, leading to a big belly and congestion, which can lead to heart and respiratory problems.

Many factors can complicate this condition; read more…

Kidney Failure

The kidney is a very important organ. Each normal person has two kidneys whose job is to clear (remove) molecular waste from the body, maintain electrolyte balance, and regulate proper water balance in the body.

When the kidneys fail to function properly or not at all, this results in the accumulation of toxic waste products, electrolyte disturbances, and fluid imbalances.

You must be vigilant with your kidneys to catch any problems early and seek help.

People with partially or non-working kidneys find themselves ending up with weekly dialysis, which is costly, time-consuming, and inconvenient.

If you are on dialysis, don’t worry. Continue with your dialysis treatment as usual. Click here to learn more about kidney disease.
